As a young boy, Thomas Alford was incessantly in the kitchen, eager to learn how food grew so beautifully: how it made its way from its raw state, to the kitchen, to the plate, and finally to the uplifted spirits of all who consumed it.

That desire to fully understand the process of culinary creation never dwindled; it has only grown since those early days. Since then he has continued learning and honing his craft with some of the best chefs known worldwide, from Executive Chef Craig Koketsu, Chefs David Burke, Daniel Humm and Christopher Flint of Eleven Madison Park. Thomas now has begun to deliver his own craft to the people of New York through catering and popup restaurants serving a variety of sweet and savory delectables, and Cake box NYC, which offers a highly acclaimed and awarded variety of Tres Leches Cake.
