Culinary Graduate from the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE), Chef André is trained in fine dining and casual cuisine. Chef André developed his craft by working with and studying culinary geniuses such as Daniel Boulud, Todd English, Paul Liebrandt, Thomas keller, and Marcus Samuelson. He hopes to bring this knowledge to An Artistic Taste and create a company that embraces creativity, expression, and elegance, qualities he has acquired throughout this career. Chef André believes, if one truly enjoys his/her craft it will show in their work, or for him, his creations. His culinary vision is to fuse his background in fine dining and attention to detail, with his love for casual and wholesome cuisine.

THOMAS ALFORD

Sous Chef

As a young boy, Thomas Alford was incessantly in the kitchen, eager to learn how food grew so beautifully: how it made its way from its raw state, to the kitchen, to the plate, and finally to the uplifted spirits of all who consumed it.

That desire to fully understand the process of culinary creation never dwindled; it has only grown since those early days. Since then he has continued learning and honing his craft with some of the best chefs known worldwide, from Executive Chef Craig Koketsu, Chefs David Burke, Daniel Humm and Christopher Flint of Eleven Madison Park. Thomas now has begun to deliver his own craft to the people of New York through catering and popup restaurants serving a variety of sweet and savory delectables, and Cake box NYC, which offers a highly acclaimed and awarded variety of Tres Leches Cake. Do what makes you happy first. Remember, “life is too short, eat dessert first”.

NORISE RIVERA

Sales and Operations Director

As the Sales and Operations Director for An Artistic Taste and a native New Yorker, Norise Rivera not only brings to bear her significant experience and organizational skills but also her deep local knowledge of New York City, its food, its style, and its scene.

A native New Yorker and a graduate of New York Medica College, Norise studied holistic physiology and biology. After 5 years of conducting research and studying holistic nutrition, Norise began teaching. However, her love for food, led her to join An Artistic Taste and spend the past four years as their director of operations.
